Drammy Awards: The Missionary Position (on Rogue Snack Awards!)

Missionary truffles at triangle-bmp[1]

Yikes. It’s hard for us even to THINK about lovely pre-theatre snacks while we (well, THIS writer anyway) are eschewing the Three Cs (Candy, Cookies, Cake) during the period from Thanksgiving to Christmas. So we are enormously grateful to fellow committee member Julie Accuardi for snapping and sampling on our behalf. Today’s delightful picture is of the truffles donated by Missionary Chocolates to every show put on by Triangle Productions, as a permanent fund raiser. This particular photograph features Dark Chocolate Delights and Vanilla Salted Caramels. And I’m drooling here, just thinking about them. They are definitely going on the naughty but GOOD list of Rogue Snack Awards. What’s more, we gather that they are both vegan and delicious. So perhaps I could eat them after all? Good for the health? Hmmm.  I’ll ponder.

Meanwhile, though obviously it is NOT the Drammy position to talk publicly about particular shows except on the Day Itself, we really must point out that there’s some excellent theatre…both Christmassy and non-Christmassy… going on right now here in Portland.  So give yourself and your friends and family the gift of a show.  There is really nothing like live theatre…nothing in the whole wide world.  And while you are at it, you might think of taking season subscriptions, or making a donation to this excellent cause. It’s a win-win for all.

So go on now! See a show! Subscribe! And give!  It’s the right thing to do.

That’s certainly the Missionary position 😉
